Cyberware
- History
- Discussion
Cyberware is the system that allows your character to equip upgrades to various areas of their body through the use of Mods, greatly enhancing their capabilities and adding additional gameplay-altering features.
The Cyberware you choose to use will greatly depend on the style of build, as certain slots have clear recommendations depending on whether you are a melee-based, ranged-based, or quickhack-based build. In order to get Cyberware installed, you will need to head to a Ripperdoc, where you can both purchase new Cyberware, equip it, and change to old Cyberware you already own.
You can upgrade the following body parts at a Ripperdoc, with the number of possible slotted Cyberware in each part.
- Frontal Cortex: 3
- Ocular System: 1
- Circulatory System: 3
- Immune System: 2
- Nervous System: 2
- Integumentary System: 2
- Operating System: 1
- Skeleton: 2
- Hands: 1
- Arms: 1
- Legs: 1

Frontal Cortex
The Frontal Cortex offers 3 slots for Cyberware and, for most players, 2 of these are going to be pre-decided due to an overall damage boost. The third slot will normally depend on the build you choose to use.

Ocular System
The Ocular System has very few upgrades available, as well as having the least impactful upgrades for most players. It currently only has 1 slot available.
There is currently no legendary upgrade available for the Ocular System, with the highest possible being the Kiroshi Optics Mk. 3, which players obtain from Viktor in Watson.
The only benefit to it is mod slots, as well as it "enhancing your vision".
Circulatory System
The Circulatory System has a number of extremely useful upgrades for players that are using a more melee-focused build, with 3 possible slots that can be filled. The upgrades here are still useful for ranged/quickhack-focused builds, but the upgrade focus is definitely tailored towards Stamina and Health regenaration.
